That would be a "laser printer," Al. Just about any of the big name ones will work with the iMac, as long as they connect via USB or Ethernet.
Can someone suggest a make and model printer and an approximate price.
Laser printers aren't as cheap as inkjet printers, but they go a whoooooooole lot longer between oil changes if you get my drift. A web site called dealmac.com is a great place to look for these.
