Another faxing question: is it possible, if your phone and modem line goes through an answering machine, to have a setting where it will figure out it's a fax?
No. The built-in faxing in Panther cannot do that.
Seems like time after time, if there's an incoming fax, the computer <Powermac G5> can't figure out that it's a fax and accept it!
You'll have to get the fax modem it's own phone line (and abandon using the modem for internet stuff, in effect turning the modem into a dedicated fax machine), or look into something like Ovolab's Phlink device, unless there's some other software/hardware combo (I believe it would require a special modem) that allows this that I'm not aware of.
