Nobody really knows why anyone would want to be sarcastic. Especially in email since you can't see the writers expression or hear their tone of voice which makes it more difficult to detect sarcasim.

Dan, As usual you are correct. I don't know what this world would ~~EVER~~ do without you or your astuteness towards correction of others. Sarcasm, can be portrayed through writing just as easily as speech. And you'll agree with me on that point or I'll start a never ending flow of "your Momma" jokes such as the world has never seen.
