This is just another straw on the camels back for me. I have been using the
mac since I was doing design on a brand new SE/30 and it has been downhill
since. Bad Geo modems, bad designed Powerbooks, crappy Performa's, bad iPod
batteries, problematic iBooks, bad PAV boards in 6 month old iMacs and on
and on and on. Now my 5 1/2 year old iMac can't load a web page with any
type of security. Great!

Not loading a web page isn't Apple's fault, it's the fault of the software designers.
And the other complaints smack of "Apple just doesn't make good products anymore". The SE/30 is 14 years old now! Geo modems and bad designed Powerbooks (I'm assuming the 5300) were both in 1995, nine years ago. Same with the Performa models. iPod batteries bad? I have one that I got in March 2002 and I still get about five hours out of it. It's a battery!!!! They wear out when used!!!! Do you really think that Apple had somehow come upon a technology that has eluded every other electronics manufacturer for a lifetime battery that would never need replacing?
