Hey Paul,
Hang in there. I faced exactly the same thing a year or so ago when I first started using OSX. Some folks on the list were rude and condescending.
But keep reminding all of us that every question you have is valid and worthwhile. After awhile the rudeness slithers away and you will find answers.
Your persistence is extraordinarily helpful to everyone on the list who is NOT AN EXPERT (i.e., most of us!).
Thanks,
Dale
Dear LEMListers & ListOwner,
I have always been told that the only stupid question is the unasked one.
Perhaps I do not understand exactly what this group is for, but it seems to me
as I read the name of it that I am not asking anything really off-topic. So I
question whether I should continue to subscribe to LEM...
Suffice it to say that I am not a computer whiz when it comes to the subject
of what makes my iMac work internally so I am unable to contribute very often
to LEM, but I get along with my iMac most of the time. However when something
happens that I don't understand how to fix, and I am unable to locate a
solution on any internet sites' FAQs (I do make an effort first), I turn to LEM for
assistance.
