I have a Rev. D 333 MHz iMac 288 MB/6 Gig running OS 9.2.1

I'm trying to install OS X.0 and am having no luck at all. I am able to get to the point where the installer begins to install OS X and then my CD-ROM drive starts buzzing and I get a message saying:

"There were errors installing the software. Please try again."

Anyone have experience with OS X on a Rev. D iMac? Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

We are running 9.2.2 with 10.2.8 on 333 MHz and I installed a much larger hard drive, 60 GB's if I remember correctly, to accommodate the large space that OS X takes. It runs beautifully.
