I'm running Panther and accidentally deleted my inbox when I was trying to "erase deleted messages." In the mail drawer, my Inbox still shows all of my unread messages that were in my inbox, but when I go to my inbox, it's totally empty. The messages from my inbox are not in the trash either. I don't know where they are.

As well, I'm hearing my mail alert sound when I receive new e-mails (increasing my unread total in parentheses), but I can't find them anywhere. Fortunately I use SBC/Yahoo so I can still read my incoming mail via Yahoo's webmail.

Any ideas how to locate my missing inbox messages?

Chris Smith
