Emac running OSX 10.3.4, External LaCie 160gig 400 Firewire drive.

Have Drive partitioned into three sections. The first partition will no
longer mount. Was running Norton System 3.0 Speed disk after running
Norton Disk Doctor. Speed Disk after 32hrs seemed to have just stopped on
the 74gig 1st partition. Stopped Norton Speed Disk and the partition
unmounted itself. rebooted and it does not appear on the desktop but the
other two do. Both Tech Tool 4, and Norton Disk Doctor see the partition,
and show it as unmounted. Ran Disk Warrior from main drive and get an
error suggesting I run it again from the Disk Warrior CD which will not
boot for some reason. Will make bootable disk later tonight but was
wondering if anyone on the list has had a similar experience and knows a
fix with out repartitioning the whole drive.

Should I try something like: sudo mount -t hfs /dev/partition_name where
partition name is the actual partition name? Is it better to try this in
single user mode or just run it from the terminal?

Any knowledgeable suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
