we have been suffering with intermittent connectivity issues for weeks. After many service calls by technicians to troubleshoot, we have ended up replacing the cable modem and my husband replaced the cable wiring. We are running a flat screen g4 imac and an ibook, both panther. We are using a netgear mr814 router and motorola surf modem.

Everything seemed to be going swell until a few days ago. I still lose connectivity every once in a while, always in the morning. The pages will start to load and time out. If I shut everything off and turn everything back on... eventually I'll get connected.
Don't know if this is anything worthy to note - but last night I set my system preference to shut down the computer at 3 a.m. - and this morning it had not shut down.
I've also called netgear, who assured me that the router is working as it should.
Any suggestions or ideas welcome..
Since I typed this email - I went off line again... so I've been connected a total of 20 minutes this past 1/2 hour.
Indecision may or may not be my problem...
