Dear iMac List,

In the past this group has discussed converting VHS
recordings to DVD. Some have used a digital camcorder with
an analog input and a digital output. Roxio and Dazzle
have been mentioned.

Now I see that there are some DVD/VHS combo recorder units
on the market. This is a bit off-T as they are for use
directly with the TV. You can insert a VHS cassette and
record to DVD within the same unit.

The three below can cost from $300 to $400, as folos:

JVC DR-MV1S
Panasonic DMRE75V
Go-Video VR4940

On the other hand, is it possible to simply connect a
current VCR to a less expensive DVD recorder and get the
same resultsl?

Has anyone experience with this method? Or with the
above-listed combos? Any remarks would be appreciated.
Thanks.
M J
