What Steve said makes sense. Your replacement hard drive does not
contain the firmware update. That takes place on a chip in the
computer. You should start up in 9.x by holding down the Option key at
startup. See if it boots.

Hi Dan, I thought the firmware update was stored on the Hard Drive???

I am going to Comp-USA this afternoon & pick-up another pram battery just to
make sure that isn't the problem. Then I will try the OS9 CD.
