Anyone using OpenOffice in OS X? How do you like it. Pro's & Con's?
Pros: Free, Open-Source, As good as M$ Office, better than Appleworks, reads/writes most standard file types.
Cons: Looks FAR too much like M$ Office XP for my liking! Though this can be forgiven with time.
I have decided that I will use it in preference to Office simply because I am for Open-Source and think that Open-Source apps are generally better because of the workforce of programmers who are _dedicated_ to it, rather than just doing it because they are paid to. You also tend to find communities based around a popular Open-Source app who are generally helpful and friendly...just watch out for the infamous "RTFM!" ;-)
