I gave my niece an Indigo iMac DV last year. Now she calls and says
there a music CD stuck in the drive, and that the computer will not
boot, she gets the disk icon with a question mark. Anyone know how to
get the CD to eject from this slot-loader? I am 100 miles away, and I
dont want to make the drive unless I have to.

1. Turn off the iMac. 2. Turn on the iMac holding down the mouse button. 3. The CD will eventually eject.

If that doesn't work, it means the transport mechanism has broken and you'll have to disassemble the CD player to get the disc out.
