Hi everyone,
I'm a brand new network admin at a small town school. I have networking
experience and Mac experience, but no a lot of Mac networking experience, at
least not on this scale.
I have several OS 9 iMacs that attempt to mount a network drive using a user
that is not there any more. If you hit cancel (like the teachers have been
for all of last school year), they still attempt to come up every time. If I
authenticate as a known user, I can mount whatever I'm allowed to mount, but
I can't uncheck the boxes the bring up the automount username/password box
in the 1st place. I hope I'm making sense. There aren't any chooser prefs.
I've deleted finder prefs, appletalk prefs all with no help.
Bill
