I'm interested in buying an original Bondi Blue iMac (233 MHz, 96 MB RAM), but the seller says that the CD drive is not working. Is it difficult to replace it? Also, is it worth 60 euro (incl. packaging) and are there any caveats that I should know about? Thanks in advance for help.

Hello:
The original is very limited in memory size. I think that you would be lucky if you expanded it to 256 MB...I think the limit might be 128 MB. There is only one USB bus with two USB ports. It has no Firewire (AKA iLink, IEEE 1394). The sound is nowhere near as good as a 400 MHz iMac. OK...Now that I've pooped all over it here is the good about it...It runs Macintosh 8.5 and newer...I think it runs Macintosh 8.1 but I do not like 8.1...It runs Linux from various companies including Apple's version of Linux known as Mac Open Step X.
If you buy it, I hope it works out well for you
