As regards the iMac, the Apple card (which is now quite expensive <shakes fist at Apple>) is your ONLY internal option. No third-party card will fit. There are EXTERNAL housings that use third-party cards and plug into your Ethernet port (I've seen them at hotels, but haven't ever found one in the usual Mac retail circles) that should work fine, if you can locate one. From: Debra Platt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
I have a powerbook 400mhz Pismo and an iMac DV 400mhz. Is there a benefit to
going with an Apple Airport card vs. another outside card for either of
these machines? I'm running 9.2.2 on both.
IIRC, the Pismo has a PCMCIA card slot, so you can use a less expensive outside card.
