Whenever I've seen this, or had it reported, it's been a sign that the
analog board is on its way out. Its flyback transformer is starting to break
down. Eventually when it finally fails it will power on, then just as the
power light should go green it will shut down. It could happen in weeks or
months. BTW, the PAV board and down converter are only used on slot loading
iMacs, not your tray loader.
