I did offer a suggestion. You can read it above. I suggested you use TextEdit. You replied with nonsense, and I offered a second suggestion -- that the problem was you. I am as happy as anyone here that you have now figured out how to open Word documents in TextEdit, but I think that sort of proves my assessment correct that the problem was not with TextEdit.
I don't think being blunt about where the problem lay (as you seem to be accusing me of doing) is any worse than jumping to conclusions about Apple and talking trash about their products incorrectly (as you did).
