"My way" as you put it was simply trying to engage Carmen in productive discussion. That's it. It seemed like it would be more useful than continually berating him for his poor behaviour. Of course, you have had the option of using the delete key all along, as has everybody else here instead of getting all worked up over a child with poor netiquette or possibly a troll.
