I have an eMac, it has panther on it. I need to know how many kb (killabytes) in a mb (megabyte)
b = bit (the smallest representation of a character)
kb= kilobit 1024 bits
byte = 8 bits
K ( or KB) = kilobyte, which is 1024 bytes
1024 kb = a megabyte (MB)
1024 MB = a gigabyte (GB)
1024 GB = a terabyte (TB) everything above that is only in the world of theoretical physics and super computers.

So when it comes to "K or k" ; the upper or lower case matters in what it is telling you.

For computer terms and explanations go to http://www.webopedia.com/ Great search engine and hordes of information on everything in the world of tech.
