Use OS X's mail application and you won't have that problem.  When you 
reply to any message, the cursor is automatically positioned at the 
top.  And, hey, are we *ever* going to drop this Carmen thing?  I think 
that Kyle was sort of clear that he wanted it to stop.

At first, I thought this was rude and thoughtless, but I realise now 
that some email programs (mainly Entourage/Outlook Express) don't make 
it easy for you to realise that you're quoting all that extra stuff. 
It takes a bit of effort to see it all and delete it
