I think that's a better answer than 'Duh'.

Respectfully, it's merely a LONGER answer, rather than a better one. (Besides, I *did* say quite a bit more than that.)

The original poster did not place ANY consideration of price, space requirements, expandability and so on in her post -- she just wanted to know which machine would run Photoshop "better."

So, *all other things being equal,* I gave her the obvious answer: a dual will always outrun a single-proc, especially as regards Photoshop (since it can take advantage of that). I used the term "duh" as shorthand for "this is kind of obvious when one writes it out, but if you didn't know it, all current towers are dual-processor and therefore any of them are superior to the iMac G5."

I can see how one MIGHT interpret it as "you [the original poster] are stupid," but the fact that a) I answered the question and b) provided more explanation than just "The tower. DUH!" would, I should have thought, made it obvious that I didn't think the question was stupid. Maybe I should have used "DOH!" instead of "Duh." :)

As a rule of thumb, I skip/ignore/don't answer questions I consider really stupid -- but you don't see much of that here. :)
