-----Original Message----- From: iMac List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dennis B. Swaney Sent: Monday, October 25, 2004 23:55 To: iMac List Subject: Two questions
2. My Rev B. has started making a buzzing/humming sound off and on; any idea as to what might be going bad? Even though I've upgraded the hard drive, maxed out the RAM, and installed a HARMONi card, I don't think that it would be cost effective to repair a major board or would it? My tentative plan would be to replace the Rev B with my G4 iMac, and then buy a new G5 iMac. -- Sincerely, Dennis B. Swaney ----------------------------------------- How high pitched is the sound? I find that often a low pitched buzzing sound is a bad fan or a cable that is getting hit by a fan. If it is a high pitched electrical hum my first guess would probably be the power supply. -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
