The iMac can accept any IDE hard drive (of which the
HDD from your G4 is one). As far as I knowit might be
worth a reformatting if your copy of OSX was an OEM
disc that came with the G4, in other words, not a
retail copy that could be installed on any machine.
That Blueberry iMac of yours is a good example; it
originally came with machine specific OS9 discs and
those discs will not work in older iMacs or other
types of Mac.
If your copy of OSX was bought seperately in a shop
then I think you will be ok, unless it optimises
itself somehow for the machine its installed on. Not
sure I'm making a lot of sense at the moment. Lets all
get Commodore 64's!
