This is normal. The system allocates memory from its own pools dynamically, as it needs.
Aha... Thank you Dan and Miche for the info about the OS grabbing/allocating more memory as needed. I see that it does change: it has said at various times today 32.7 out of 32.7, and 33.4 out of 33.4... Still it seems that there is no wiggle room for it!
There is some wiggle room there, but the flow is so dynamic you will rarely see it.
