Hi All, I just purchased a used iMac (Summer 2000 Indigo) ... I've used Windows my entire life, but needed a change and thought it would be a cheap way to try Mac. So far I absolutely love it.
In any event, I'm currently using OS 9.0.4, but am thinking about upgrading to OS X to be able to use the newest version of AOL - and so that I can access my gmail (Google mail) account as the best version of IE for OS 9 doesn't seem to support the Active X controls gmail requires. The only problem is, I have Office 98 which runs fine on OS 9 - if I upgrade to OS X (Panther) will Office 98 still work? I'm cringing at the thought of spending $130 for Panther, but can't afford the latest version of Office for Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
