Hi all, First time post...
I picked up a 400MHz Imac DV (slot load) recently for free. Catch is that it won't boot. When I press the power button, all I get is a little static charge noise from the back of the tube and nothing else, no light in the power button, no disk spinup, no flash from the display, etc. The story is that this machine got water dripped on it from a leaky roof and stopped working. Any guesses where to start troubleshooting the power problem? By the way, I've tried attaching an external display with no luck, but I don't think its getting far enough in the boot process for that to make a difference.
