The iDisk is supposed to appear in the left side of the finder window. If you don't like it there, just drag it out and it 'poofs' just like removing something from the dock.

I setup an iDisk on my Powerbook G4. I can't seem to get the desktop icon to
go away. iDisk is in the finder. The icon goes away of I deselect, cd,dvd's,
ipods in finder preferences but then these items don't show when mounted. Am
I stuck with this or am I not doing something correctly?
