"Or, you can check your local computer store or office supply store. Depending on what OS version you are running on the 6360, you may be able to get a cheap DLink PCI card to work. DLink offers cards that are currently selling on the market, and come with Mac OS 9 and OS X drivers (as well as the usually Windows support). I've used these cards, and I can usually get them for under $20 (often as low as $5 or free after rebates)."
I installed a cheapo PCI ethernetcard in my Back-Up Performa 6400/180 OS 9.2.2 a few years ago ,
the "Topcom LAN Card 115 10/100Mbps Ethernet Network Adaptor" to be complete.
Drivers are to be downloaded at "www.realtek.com.tw" and OS 8 is still beeing supported.
I use it with a cross-over cable to back-up or retrieve "stuff" from my iMac 333 OS 9.2.2
While this installs easily and works fine, it works ever so SLOWLY...
When I download via Cable on my iMac 333 I mostly get speeds like : 4041.841 kbits/s or 505.23 kBytes/s
When I down- or upload to my Performa, even modest size files, I fall asleep at the keys...
Did I miss a command or a setting or won't it simply go any faster and why not ?
Or did I buy the wrong kind of card :-[
Still more questions alas...
