Go to Versiontracker.com and search the OS9 side for AVI players. Maybe VLC
(Video Lan Client) has an OS9 version.
The #2 question on their FAQ is a clear explanation that VLC is a UNIX port and consequently will NEVER be written for OS 9. There wouldn't be much point anyway ... the codecs you need to decode modern video files have never been written for OS 9 either. Nor will they be.
It's time to move on, folks.
