Ok, I'm going to take a break from trying to fix the problem with MacAlly's Firewire cases that don't work in 10.3.6.
New question: I bought an AirPort Express so that I can listen to music from my G4 iMac running 10.3.6 and iTunes 4.7. The iMac has an AirPort card in it and connects to am AirPort Extreme Base Station. I have AirPort 4.1 installed
The Setup Guide says to use the AirPort Express Assistant located in my Utilities Folder. It also says that it is on the included CD. Here are the problems/questions:
1. I don't have AirPort Express Assistant in my Utilities Folder 2, The CD says that it installs AirPort 4.0 and iTunes 4.6 3. Is the AirPort Express Assistant a separate download? 4. Can I use the regular AirPort Setup Assistant software in lieu of the Express version? -- Sincerely, Dennis B. Swaney
I had the APE Setup Assistant on the CD. If you have iTunes 4.7 already it won't install 4.6.
And streaming AirTunes freakin' rocks, to quote MacAddict!
However, I can't stream reliably from my wireless TiBook to DLink wireless router to APE in the living room. I get a lot of skips and pauses during playback. If I hook it up wired to the DLink everything works fine.
