I've wondered that myself but never got around to asking. The behaviour of the LEM list software is somewhat of a mystery to me. For the past 3-4 weeks I've had an average of about 3 or 4 bounce messages a day from the G-List, but nothing from any of the others I'm subscribed to (1st, imac, max, pci, uk and usosx). I've not yet found what the limit to number of warnings you get before you stop getting mail either. I think I'm up around the 100 so far on this latest batch and I've not responded to any yet - still getting a decent amount of G-List mail, and there hasn't been any interruption in service. I'm on around 26 or so other mailing lists in addition to the LEM ones and none of these show any signs of failing to deliver mail to me. I suspect that the failure is on the part of the sending mail server to actually send out rather than any server on the receiving end to accept messages. On the basis the X-ListServer header in the emails that arrive (X-ListServer: CommuniGate Pro LIST 4.1.8) I'm inclined to avoid using that mail server software (not that for me it is particularly likely anyway), but it could be that they are on a poor internet connection for the load MacLaunch are putting on it. Still puzzling why just the single list though (although I think I've probably had them from others in the past). I wouldn't put it down to the fact that it is the busiest because the stats should surely indicated at least the odd one from one of the other lists (probably this one as the next busiest). -- Paul Tansom | Aptanet Ltd. | http://www.aptanet.com/ -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
