The Mavica I have (MVC-FD71) doesn't have a function to format the disk.
To further explain the problem. It only seems to occur with the reformatted
disks. The file names appear normal - .jpg. When I try to open them (either
from the disk or after copying to my desktop) I get a message: "Couldn't
open the file. It may be corrupt or a file format that Preview doesn't
recognize".GraphicConverter also won't open them.
Again when I use a fresh DOS formatted disk, everything works ok. My
assumption is that the reformatted disks are causing the problem.
