No, I just made the mistake of reading the messages on Apple's Support website. I guess I should NEVER visit Apple's support area.
I'm not suggesting that Mail is perfect, or that some people don't legitimately have strange problems with it (even discounting user error). What I *am* suggesting is that relying on "complaint boards" such as that one will leave ANYONE with a very skewed and inaccurate view that Apple makes really crappy stuff that never works right. IOW, people who are happy (or at least satisfied) with Mail don't write posts to support forums.
By all means, if you're having a specific problem you should check any and all related support boards to see if the problem has been experienced by someone else and what others suggested -- but always keep in mind that for every complaint you see on a tech board, there are probably around 500,000 Mac users who are NOT experiencing the problem. I think this helps keep perspective on things.
