Press the button on the front of the iMac to turn it on. The power ON 
button is the only thing that isn't present on a PC USB keyboard 
(although on the PC some have a different label, such as the Windows key, 
which is either Command or Option, don't remember off the top of my head).

Its no loss to not have the power on button... in fact, I think Apple's 
own USB keyboards that are currently shipping lack that button.
