If you want to stick with a color inkjet, I'm really liking the new IP3000 from Canon. It takes relatively cheap ink (My local independent retailer has generic ink for this model at $7.50 per tank), 4 separate tanks, fast printing. It's only $62 at newegg http://tinyurl.com/4lpcn .
