I currently have all my software and files on a G3 PowerPC 233 desktop(biege)and want to get everything on to the iMac G3 600, slotloader. I have ethernet crossover patch cable to connect the two computers for the transfer.
What is the best way and sequence to copy from the PowerPC to the iMac? Both have OS 9.2.2 loaded on them. Will I have to reload from CD all the software applications I have installed? I recently saw some disparaging remarks with Symantec/Norton SystemWorks on the List. What is a better or more reliable software?
