Never click on a "remove me" link in an email. It almost never works as a "removal tool". It works as an "address confirmation tool".
i have been saved several times when the hole family is gather around the TV and im on the mac and i open a innocent looking e-mail, and its this garbage,
What email app are you using? It is likely that you can set it so that the images do not appear in the email when you open it, until you take an extra step to view them.
