Studder Dialtone

[James Johnson]

I just got phone service from a different company from the one that I 
used to do business with.  I have a problem of my dialtone studdering 
when I pick up the phone or when my iMac tries to dial out.  How do I 
make the modem wait til the dialtone stops studdering?
