My experience with putting OS X on a 233 Rev A iMac was less than pleasant.
This particular computer has 160 MB ram and a 4 GB hard drive which was
cleared and had 3.5 GB free. Usually the install would hang about midway
through. If I did get OS X to install I got a blank screen and would then
need to boot in OS9. This went on for two days and I finally gave up. I went
on ebay and got a used G4 Sawtooth and have been quite happy. The iMac is
going back to my niece who doesn't care about using OSX.
