If you've tried all the suggested procedures and it still appears dead then my suggestion is to keep trying. I had this problem and tried reseting the power manager one last time and bingo it booted. I then loaded up the firmware update ran it and then realized that the next step was to shutdown, wondering if it would startup again. Oh well, nothing to do but try it. It worked, the firmware update happened and it's working very nicely now.


So in other words, keep trying. While the instructions say you can damage the logic board by pressing the PM reset button at the wrong times, if it's not working, what have you got to lose.
