I'm with you, Chas. Let the littlies have full access to the joys and
wonders of computer land, but Not On My Machine!! Even if they realise the
worth of the thing, just due to inexperience (or even just the plain old bad
luck that can afflict us all :)) they can precipitate catastrophic computer
events. If they can possibly be provided with an old hand-me-down computer,
you can relax, and it's so much better for them as well : all their computer
experiences can be relaxed as well, and there is no potential for them to
muck something of yours up and make you angry.
