You should read my posts more carefully before jumping to conclusions.
When my mac is booted in 9 my printer shows up in the chooser and prints
great. When I boot the same mac in X and start Classic aka OS 9 it
disappears from the Chooser control panel.
Ahem -- because you have TWO OS 9 SYSTEM FOLDERS ON YOUR COMPUTER.
