Hi Robin and All, I should have gotten back to you all. Mary's suggestion to reset PRAM did the trick. I have now installed my new Harmoni board and OS 10.2.8 is running like a champ. I now have a Bondi running 600MHz with a working firewire port!!! Been burning CD's and playing with Toast and SpinDoctor, etc. I have an external Dual layer 16X HP DVD burner which is burning CD-R's just fine but hangs up if I try to burn a CD-RW. It doesn't give an error or anything, just gets a little way into the procedure and hangs. I can't force quit, mouse cursor moves around but won't select anything, power button has no effect and even the paperclip doesn't do a reset - had to pull the plug and restart.
I now have some more questions but I'm going to start a new thread.
