It should then let you go to higher res on the external. I've used it on my iBook successfully. The nice thing is that all it does is turn on the feature, the OS does all the rest.
No good, it says the CRT iMacs are not supported.
Sorry for the red herring. I remembered that it worked for iMacs, I just thought it was for earlier models too.
