Subject: Screen turns green-iMac

my grandmother has an iMac (which i can find out specs for if needed) and
she had a question for=20
me:

what does it mean when I turn on my computer and the screen turns bright=20=

green -=20
this occurs about every 50th turnon=2E=20
But only over the past year - never before=2E

does anyone know what this is?

Same thing happened to me with a slot-loading iMac. Every 3 o4 start up's the screen was purple and unusable. I had to restart and usually it was all it needed. But then the HD failed. I took the old HD out and put a bigger one in, and as a side effect, the color shift was gone. When the HD was taken out, I had to disconnect and then reconnect the video cable from the mobo to the CRT. That was all it needed.
Of course, YMMV.
Best regards.
