Hi Simon,

I just bought a USB enclosure as well and my experience was a bit different.
The instructions (in classic "Engrish", I might add) said to jumper the
drive as a "master drive". Okay... I did that and the drive showed up as a
mass storage device, but I couldn't read or write to it (Preformatted NTFS
40 GB from another PC). Plugged it into the Mac and nothing.

As a last resort, after an hour or so screwing around loading and unloading
drivers (and a few profanities), I pulled the drive out, removed the jumper
and put it back together.
Plugged it into the peecee and a new F: drive showed up. Plugged it into the
Mac and a USB drive appeared on the desktop.

I'm using NTFS 'cuz I need to be able to occasionally connect the drive to a
peecee at work. Happily, NTFS isn't a problem for the Macs.

Amanda - A halfway Swithcher!
