Funny, my wife's eMac started not starting up with a chord recently.
Instead, it starts up with a static hissing kinda sound. At the same
time, I noticed it was a little slower; I looked at ASP and it only
saw 256mB on one of the 2 512mB DIMM's. When I took out the DIMM, it
started up with a chord again. When I put it in again, it started up
with the hiss again.

Mmmmh, funny things are happenning. I checked and my 320 Mb are accounted for.
Could it be that the days are warmer? But then, why does it sounds the starting chord in OS 9?
Voodoo?
