My question is, are there any USB mice available that have the two buttons
and scroll wheel that are also Mac-compatible?

All of them, AFAIK. That is to say, OS X will interpret a right-click as a control-click, and recognise a scroll wheel, without any additional software. For more buttons and extra functionality - or if you're using OS 9 - you'll need to check that Mac drivers are available. I use a Logitech mouse which I like a lot, and Microsoft and Kensington also make good mice.
