I don't own a G5 iMac, but I could tell you that to iMac G5 is adjustable only up and down, wheras the iMac G4 sat on a swivel base that allowed you to tilt the display, move it up and down on the Z axis, or rotate it around on the base. Less options for moving it around. Dunno if this is important to you though.
